More coal is being imported from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan

According to data published by the National Statistical Committee, from January to August of this year, coal imports to Kyrgyzstan increased by 9.7%.

If during the same period last year the country imported 334.5 thousand tons of coal, this year this figure rose to 367.2 thousand tons.

At the same time, the majority of the coal, accounting for 99.5%, came from Kazakhstan, where supplies increased by 9.4% compared to the previous year. Small volumes of coal were also imported from Russia and China.
