The European Commission has approved a plan for the export of honey from Kyrgyzstan, including it in a special list of technical regulations that govern the import of goods into the countries of the European Union.
According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, this decision confirms that the control and certification system in Kyrgyzstan meets EU standards.
This decision by the European Commission opens new horizons for Kyrgyz honey producers, allowing them to improve their competitiveness on the international stage.
Previously, attempts were made to bring Kyrgyz honey to the European market; however, due to strict certification requirements, this was not possible.
The Ministry intends to continue efforts to expand the list of domestic products that will be able to access the EU market.
