The B5+1 business forum has started in Bishkek, which will last for two days. This event has brought together delegates from the business communities and government institutions of Central Asia and the USA.
The goal of the forum is to strengthen the position of the private sector in economic transformations and to develop cooperation between the regions. Within the agenda, participants will discuss 21 recommendations formulated at the first B5+1 forum, which took place in Almaty in 2024, and will outline new priorities for joint work.
The key areas for cooperation in 2026 will be agriculture, the banking sector, critical mineral resources, e-commerce and information technology, as well as transport and logistics, tourism.
The forum's program includes business sessions where recommendations from the private sector will be presented and economic priorities of the governments will be discussed. The B5+1 format has become a business equivalent of the C5+1 platform and is viewed as a long-term venue for dialogue and investments.
