At a recent press conference, Minister of Economy Bakyt Sydykov stated that the B5+1 format represents a new stage in regional cooperation, where business becomes the central element of economic changes.

According to the minister, business is no longer just a participant in processes but acts as a full-fledged co-author of economic reforms.

“The B5+1 format opens up unique opportunities for entrepreneurs in Central Asia, allowing them to directly submit practical proposals to governments and international partners,” he added.

Sydykov highlighted three main aspects of the significance of the B5+1 forum for Kyrgyzstan:

Strengthening regional cooperation. Given the growing interconnectedness of the economies of Central Asian countries, issues of logistics, trade, energy, and digitalization require joint solutions and actions. The B5+1 format facilitates the transition of regional dialogue to specific business initiatives.

Improving the business climate. Initiatives from the business community aim to reduce administrative barriers, develop financial instruments for small and medium-sized enterprises, expand access to markets, and digitize public services. These steps fully align with the reforms being implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Developing international partnerships. The active involvement of the USA and regional businesses creates trust among investors and opens new horizons for trade, investment, and technology transfer.

“The main message of the forum is clear: Central Asia is a territory of cooperation, reforms, and new opportunities for international business,” the minister concluded.
