According to the city administration, this project aims to reduce traffic congestion on major highways and improve conditions for motorists.
The work is being carried out by the state enterprise "Kyrgyzavtozhol-Yug," which is under the management of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
As noted by Musa Berdigulov, a representative of the enterprise, numerous construction machines are currently involved at the site. "The new road being built along Kök-Art will connect the Bishkek-Osh highway with the Manas-Blagoveshchenka road. The length of the new road will be 9 km 200 meters, and the width will be 8 meters. The project is being financed from the republican budget. Initial works have already begun, and the estimate and project documentation are being developed in parallel. A total of 22 dump trucks, 2 loaders, 2 excavators, and 1 grader are involved in the work," Berdigulov reported.
It is planned that the construction will be completed by the end of the current year. After that, the new road will serve as an alternative entrance to the city of Manas.
