
A state program aimed at developing the critical minerals sector has been initiated in Kyrgyzstan, which has identified 22 key minerals. Asel Rayymkulova, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, announced this information at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
She also presented data on licenses in the field of subsoil use.
“In 2025, 320 licenses were revoked. Currently, there are 2014 active licenses in the country. Of these, 204 are for gold development, 43 for metals, 46 for oil and gas, 367 for coal, 703 for groundwater, and 651 for non-metallic minerals,” she added.
