
According to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange points in Bishkek, the euro, Russian ruble, Kazakh tenge, and Chinese yuan have increased relative to the som, while the US dollar has remained at the same level. This situation prompted the NB KR to conduct a currency intervention.
US Dollar:
- Official exchange rate of the NB KR: 87.45 soms (unchanged).
- Average exchange rate at exchange points: buying — 87.36 soms, selling — 87.8 soms.
Euro:
- Official exchange rate of the NB KR: 101.8312 soms (increase of 0.94 percent). After a decline, the euro exchange rate sharply increased, reaching a March maximum.
- Average exchange rate at exchange points: buying — 101.22 soms, selling — 102.2 soms.
Russian Ruble:
- Official exchange rate of the NB KR: 1.1159 soms (increase of 0.74 percent).
- Average exchange rate at exchange points: buying — 1.1 soms, selling — 1.131 soms.
Kazakh Tenge:
- Official exchange rate of the NB KR: 0.1774 soms (increase of 0.17 percent). March maximum updated.
- Average exchange rate at exchange points: buying — 0.1625 soms, selling — 0.1865 soms.
Chinese Yuan:
- Official exchange rate of the NB KR: 12.7179 soms (increase of 0.61 percent). March maximum also updated.
- Average exchange rate at exchange points: buying — 12.7 soms, selling — 13.3 soms.
