Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Alexander Petrov won a gold medal at the European Weightlifting Championship, which is currently taking place in St. Petersburg.
As reported by the Secretary General of the Weightlifting Federation of Kyrgyzstan, Shamil Yargayev, our athlete competed in the "Veterans" category with a 24 kg kettlebell. It is worth noting that earlier, athlete from Kyrgyzstan Ekaterina Starikova also won a gold medal in the "Amateurs," "Juniors" category with a significant lead over other participants. Well done!
