The Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Choro Seitov, announced at today’s briefing that the country's economy may exceed planned indicators by 2030.
He noted that despite the established target of $30 billion, the current economic situation allows for more optimistic results.
“Our preliminary estimates show that we can surpass this level. We expect that by 2030, GDP will reach approximately $31-32 billion. By the end of 2025, our GDP will already be around 2 trillion soms, which corresponds to a GDP per capita of $3,000,” he added.
As for plans for 2026, Choro Seitov highlighted that the ministry expects economic growth of 8.5-8.6%. It is predicted that this growth will be supported by all sectors of the economy.
Key factors contributing to growth in 2026:
- construction sector;
- services;
- industry and processing;
- transport and logistics.
