
According to data from the National Statistical Committee, in January and February 2026, industrial enterprises in Kyrgyzstan produced goods worth 147.8 billion soms, which is 15.5% higher than the same indicators of the previous year.
If we exclude data from the Kumtor deposit, the growth in industry was an impressive 29%.
Such high results were achieved due to increased production volumes in various sectors:
- vehicles — by 42.4%,
- food products, beverages, and tobacco products — by 16.8%,
- refined petroleum products — by 18.2%,
- basic metals — by 11.1%,
- chemical products — by 3.1 times,
- pharmaceutical goods — by 1.7 times,
- mining of minerals — by 47.2%.
At the same time, there is a decrease in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and condensed air by 7.8% due to a 14.1% reduction in electricity production.
At the same time, the volume of water supply, waste treatment and processing, as well as the collection of secondary raw materials increased by 14.7%, thanks to a 9.9% growth in the collection, treatment, and distribution of water.
The industrial sector accounts for 24.6% of the total economy of the country (GDP), and its contribution to GDP growth is 3.21 percentage points.
