The Head of the Tax Service warned about the risks to Kyrgyzstan's economy due to weak business

Almambet Shykmamatov, head of the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan, expressed the opinion that the lack of developed business could lead to poverty in the country. He made this statement during a meeting with entrepreneurs in Osh.

He noted that the presidential decree regarding the temporary moratorium on tax audits prohibits the initiation of cases against entrepreneurs. Since its signing, not a single criminal case has been registered against businessmen.

“At the moment, prosecutors do not grant permission to initiate cases, and any audits require their consent. This decree is aimed at reducing excessive checks, supporting business, and protecting private property. In countries with developed economies, citizens live happily. However, here, some support the arrests of entrepreneurs, not realizing that this harms the well-being of the entire society. Today they rejoice, but tomorrow taxes will decrease, businesses will leave, and the country will find itself in an economic pit,” emphasized Shykmamatov.

He also added that for successful economic development, it is necessary to create conditions that ensure stability and security for businesses, allowing entrepreneurs to develop their projects and invest in the country.
