How much livestock is slaughtered daily for the residents of Bishkek and Chui region, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, the daily meat demand for Bishkek and the Chui region is approximately 200–230 tons. Accordingly, more than 300 head of cattle are slaughtered daily.

Currently, the average market price for meat is about 750 soms.

It is worth noting that to increase meat production volumes and regulate prices, a project has been launched titled "Development of the Meat Cluster for Cattle Fattening in the Chui Region and the City of Bishkek."

As part of this project, a cabinet resolution was adopted, which enabled state banks to start providing preferential loans to farmers participating in the cluster at an interest rate of 3% per annum.

This project was developed by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. Recently, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, signed the resolution for its launch.

The resolution was reviewed by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 18 and came into effect. Now, farmers included in the meat cluster for cattle fattening in Bishkek and the Chui region will be able to receive preferential loans with minimal interest rates through the state banks "Abank" and "Eldik Bank."
