In particular, the share of mineral extraction in the total volume of industrial production increased from 5.5% in 2020 to 10.7% by 2024, indicating the growing importance of the raw materials sector in the country's economy.
At the same time, the share of manufacturing industry, on the contrary, decreased from 82% to 77% over the specified five-year period. There was also a slight decrease in the share of enterprises engaged in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning — from 11.5% to 11.3%.
As for the water supply, waste treatment, and recycling sector, its share remained at the level of 2020, which indicates the stability of this segment. Thus, the main trend over the past five years has been an increase in the share of the extractive sector with a moderate decrease in the weight of processing industries.
