More than 17,000 Kyrgyz citizens voted abroad — Ministry of Foreign Affairs

As of 18:00, 17,147 citizens of Kyrgyzstan voted in the early elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh outside the country. This information was announced by the director of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Seitak Jumakadyrov, during a briefing.

Compared to the previous parliamentary elections, there has been a significant increase in the activity of Kyrgyz citizens living abroad. In 2021, only 9,800 people voted in similar elections.

“Our citizens living outside the country are actively participating in the election of deputies,” emphasized Jumakadyrov.

This year, 100 polling stations were organized abroad, where Kyrgyz citizens have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.
