In the Suzak district, a fire that broke out on a pipeline has been extinguished. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Jalal-Abad region.

The incident occurred on January 4 in the village of Saddah, on Siyarov Street, where the pipeline owned by OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" runs.

It is reported that a firefighting team from the district department was dispatched to extinguish the fire at 21:55. At 22:30, an operational group led by Colonel Ch. Shekenov, head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Jalal-Abad region, arrived at the scene.

The successful localization of the fire occurred at 22:47, and it was completely extinguished by 22:55. According to preliminary data, the area of the fire was approximately 100 square meters.

The causes of the fire are currently being investigated.

In one of the videos, a firefighter explained that the incident is related to the pipeline connecting the city of Kochkor-Ata and the company ZAO "Kyrgyz Petroleum Company" in Manas.

According to updated information, on December 28, 2025, there was a rupture of the pipeline, which led to an oil leak being transported from OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" to Manas. On the same day, repair work was carried out, during which oil spilled over an area of about 100 square meters.

According to some reports, on January 4, 2026, at 21:55, for unknown reasons, a fire broke out on the spilled oil. The oil that had been spilled during the repair of the underground section of the pipeline caught fire. The fire did not spread beyond this area.

It is also reported that the spilled oil after the repairs was not removed in a timely manner. According to preliminary data, minors may have set fire to the spilled oil the day before the fire, which could have caused the ignition.
