Today, during a ceremony held in Kyrgyzstan, the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev handed over the keys to 81 vehicles to the Ministry of Defense of the country.

Speaking on behalf of the president and the cabinet of ministers, Kasymaliev congratulated the Ministry of Defense on the arrival of 81 new vehicles purchased with budget funds.

“Among the new vehicles are 36 Chevrolet units and 19 JAC T-6 vehicles produced at the Kyrgyz plant 'Tulpar Motors'. Defending the Motherland is a sacred duty of everyone. A modern army must combine the spirit of our ancestors with modern technology. Our soldiers, as before, possess resilience and courage, but today their arsenal consists not of swords, but of modern vehicles. Instead of shields, they have law and order, and instead of bows, they have knowledge and precise calculations. For us, the oath is not just words, but our destiny, and service is a lifelong responsibility. We are confident that with such an army, our borders will be reliably protected, and our state will become stable,” he noted, adding that the new vehicles will increase the mobility of military units and ensure the safe movement of personnel.

Kasymaliev also emphasized that in recent years, the defense capability of the Kyrgyz Republic has significantly strengthened. The budget for the Armed Forces has increased by more than 300% compared to 2018-2019, and these funds are primarily directed towards modernizing the material and technical base and purchasing modern weapons. There is also ongoing development of the infrastructure of military units and garrisons, including air defense systems and electronic warfare systems.

In his speech, the Prime Minister reported that the Ministry of Defense has successfully completed the first stage of digitalization, which has allowed for the optimization of document flow and military personnel accounting. Currently, the electronic accounting system for military personnel has been launched in five military enlistment offices, and it will be implemented in another 25 by March.

Kasymaliev also discussed measures of social support for military personnel. In particular, the daily compensation for housing rental in Bishkek has been increased to 500 soms, and in the regions to 420 soms. The monthly payment for mortgage housing is 18,000 soms for military personnel in the capital and 15,000 soms in the regions. Military personnel with more than 20 years of experience can expect compensation until the mortgage is fully paid off. Additionally, there is an opportunity to purchase housing in a chosen location, and it is expected that more than 900 apartments will be provided to military personnel through the State Mortgage Company in the near future.

Note:

81 vehicles have been transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic. Among them are: 36 Chevrolet Cobalt cars, 19 JAC T-6 cars, 18 Gazelle units, 5 passenger buses, and 3 JAC Sunray minibuses.
