In Bishkek, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev announced that the budget of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic has increased by more than 300% over the past few years compared to 2018-2019. This statement was made during the ceremony of handing over 81 units of vehicles to the Ministry of Defense.
He noted that during this period, the country's defense capability has been significantly strengthened. The increase in funding has allowed for the allocation of resources for the modernization of the army's material and technical base, as well as for the acquisition of modern weapons and military equipment, including air defense systems and electronic warfare means, as well as for the development of infrastructure for military units and garrisons.
According to the head of the cabinet, as part of the measures to strengthen the defense potential, a large number of modern samples of military equipment and weapons have been purchased.
