According to him, if a pawnshop violates at least one of the requirements established by regulatory legal acts, it will face a fine. According to Article 345 of the Code on Offenses, a fine of 280 calculation indicators is provided for each individual violation, which is equivalent to 28,000 soms.
“It is important to note that a fine is imposed separately for each case of violation of the legislation,” Suyorkul Ashimjan uulu clarified.
He also emphasized that in the case of systematic violations, the responsibility may be tightened. “If three or more repeated violations are recorded at the pawnshop within a year after the imposition of the fine, the authorized body has the right to suspend its activities for a period of up to 90 days,” he added.
After the suspension of operations, the pawnshop will receive a written order. “The pawnshop is obliged to eliminate all identified deficiencies and bring its activities in line with legislative requirements. If the violations are not eliminated within 90 days, the authorized body has the right to file a lawsuit for the annulment of the license,” concluded the representative of the Ministry of Economy.
