
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, held a meeting with the permanent representatives of nine countries accredited to the United Nations in New York. This meeting was organized as part of their visit to Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the ministry's press service.
During the negotiations, the minister informed the representatives about significant social and economic reforms being implemented in the country. He also shared recent achievements and discussed important international events scheduled for 2026, such as the SCO summit and the VI World Nomad Games. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the UN's role in Kyrgyzstan's international politics and the initiatives that the republic promotes within this organization.
The permanent representatives of countries such as Andorra, Gabon, Guyana, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Chad, and South Sudan noted Kyrgyzstan's significant contribution to advancing global initiatives related to climate change, development of mountainous regions, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development, as well as issues of peace and security. They expressed their intention to deepen cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
The parties also discussed current international and regional issues, including the situation in Central Asia.
During the visit, foreign diplomats visited winter tourist facilities, various government institutions to exchange experiences in advanced technologies, and also got acquainted with the UN House and the historical and cultural landmarks of Kyrgyzstan.
