UN ambassadors highly appreciated Kyrgyzstan's contribution to global initiatives

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, held a meeting with the permanent representatives of nine countries to the United Nations who arrived in New York for their regular visit.

During this meeting, as reported by the foreign ministry, the minister informed the ambassadors of Andorra, Gabon, Guyana, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Chad, and South Sudan about significant reforms being implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic in the area of socio-economic development, as well as the country’s achievements and upcoming events, such as the SCO Summit and the VI World Nomad Games in 2026.

Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized the importance of cooperation with the UN, highlighting that the organization is a key element of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. He also discussed the country's initiatives and its interaction with other UN member states.

The permanent representatives, in turn, noted Kyrgyzstan's high achievements in promoting global initiatives related to climate change, sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, and ensuring peace and security. They expressed their readiness to expand cooperation with Kyrgyzstan at both multilateral and bilateral levels.

During the discussions, the parties exchanged views on important issues of the international agenda, the geopolitical situation, as well as cooperation in Central Asia and other global challenges.

As part of their program, the ambassadors also visited winter tourism facilities, various government institutions to exchange experiences in advanced technologies, and familiarized themselves with the UN House and the historical and cultural landmarks of Kyrgyzstan.
