The return of 30 hectares of agricultural land in the Masančy area is an important step for the state.
According to information from the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), these lands were previously illegally allocated from the assets of JSC "Zhemish" and divided among its shareholders and employees located in the "Masančy" area, northwest of Karakol.
As a result of the investigative and operational activities conducted, former shareholders and employees of JSC "Zhemish" agreed to voluntarily return the land plots, which are now planned to be used for the expansion of urban infrastructure. The municipal authorities of Karakol intend to create a new residential area, the cost of which is estimated at more than 22 million soms.
