Kyrgyzstan and the EU agreed on regular consultations regarding sanction risks

A virtual meeting between the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev and the EU Special Envoy for Sanctions David O'Sullivan took place on February 3, as reported by the government.

Both sides expressed interest in continuing a constructive and targeted dialogue on issues related to sanctions, as well as financial and economic cooperation.

To ensure stability and predictability in interactions, it was decided to hold regular consultations aimed at minimizing sanction risks.

A visit by David O'Sullivan to the Kyrgyz Republic is scheduled for February 26, 2026, during which discussions on the aforementioned issues will continue.
