The new recommendations adopted in this area aim to develop cooperation considering the existing integration opportunities.
Among the main points, the recommendations highlight:
- increasing the consumption of ferrous metals in various industrial sectors,
- exploring the prospects for cooperative supplies of innovative steels produced by EAEU member states,
- expanding joint work in the field of engineering.
It is also proposed to organize the exchange of experience in areas such as the technologies for mining and processing ferrous metal ores, as well as supporting low-emission transformation in ferrous metallurgy.
The Minister for Industry and Agrarian Policy of the EEC, Goar Barsegyan, noted: “The implementation of these recommendations will contribute to deepening cooperation in ferrous metallurgy, taking into account the current development priorities of this sector in EAEU countries.”
