
According to the State National Security Committee, participants of the women's cell of the extremist organization 'Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami' were detained in the Nooken District of the Jalal-Abad region.
Department specialists noted that the detainees actively used closed Telegram channels to disseminate banned literature and discuss the idea of establishing a caliphate on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
During searches at the addresses of the individuals involved in the case, a significant amount of prohibited literature was found, as well as electronic devices, including computers, flash drives, and mobile phones.
On January 29, 2026, five participants of the women's cell were detained and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
The State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds that participation in the activities of religious extremist organizations and the dissemination of extremist materials entails serious criminal liability.
