In the Batken region, road service employees detained a driver who ignored their demands.

According to the press secretary of the Batken Road Safety Department, Bektemir Mamytov, inspectors stopped a vehicle driven by a person in a state of intoxication. The driver not only failed to comply with the legal requirement but also attempted to flee the scene.

“Soon the vehicle was stopped, and a check was conducted. It turned out that the driver did not have a driver's license, and there was a smell of alcohol coming from him. He was taken to the narcological department, but he refused to undergo testing to determine his level of intoxication,” he added.

According to part 2 of Article 193 of the KR Code on Offenses, the driver faces punishment for operating a vehicle while intoxicated or for handing over control to a person without a license.

Refusal to undergo testing results in an administrative arrest for up to three days; if the driver does not have a driver's license, the arrest period will be five days,” Mamytov clarified.
