
On February 7, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, made a working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, where he introduced Chanpen Zhao, the founder of the international cryptocurrency exchange Binance, to the country's tourism opportunities.
During a tour of the "Karokol" ski base, they jointly descended the slope, where the president emphasized the tourism prospects of the region.
Japarov noted the importance of developing ski clusters as a strategic direction that could make the Issyk-Kul region a center of international tourism. He also mentioned the ongoing construction of the "Ala-Too Resort" cluster.
The president and Chanpen Zhao climbed to one of the highest points of the complex, from where a stunning panoramic view of the mountain ranges opened up.
Chanpen Zhao highly appreciated the skiing conditions and the quality of service, expressing confidence that the region is capable of competing with top European resorts.
At the end of the meeting, they held an informal tea gathering, where they continued discussing infrastructure projects.
