
Significant personnel changes have occurred in the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). Following the recent replacement of the head of the agency, three deputy chairmen have been relieved of their positions.
According to information provided by the administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the following individuals have been dismissed by decrees:
- Kurvanbek Avazov — First Deputy Chairman of the GKNB;
- Daniel Rysaliev — Deputy Chairman of the GKNB and Director of the Cybersecurity Coordination Center;
- Elizar Smanov — Deputy Chairman of the GKNB and Director of the Anti-Terrorism Center.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed as the acting head of the committee, and his candidacy will be submitted to the Jogorku Kenesh for approval as the Chairman of the GKNB.
