In the Issyk-Kul region, cases of illegal storage of drugs and firearms have been identified.

According to information provided by the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Directorate, on January 30, operational information was received that some residents of the Jeti-Oguz district were engaged in illegal hunting. This information was registered in the unified register of crimes of the Issyk-Kul region's Internal Affairs Directorate, which served as the basis for initiating a criminal case under Article 310 ("Illegal hunting or fishing for fish or aquatic animals").

As part of the investigation, officers from the tourism and environmental police of the Issyk-Kul region's Internal Affairs Directorate conducted a search at the residence of citizen L.V., born in 1967, in the village of Tamga.

During the search, a substance with a characteristic smell of cannabis, resembling dried cannabis leaves, was found in a wooden box and polyethylene bags. The total weight of the seized substance amounted to 3 kg 695 grams. A forensic chemical examination has been appointed for further analysis.

Additionally, during the search at the home of citizen K.R., born in 1975, residing in the village of Barskoon, a firearm model TOZ-8, which was stored illegally, was discovered and seized.

The conclusion of the forensic chemical examination confirmed that the substance found in the home of citizen L.V. is a narcotic drug — marijuana.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
