According to the report, on November 23, 2025, a statement was received at the police department of the Issyk-Kul district. It indicated that at approximately 23:24, in one of the recreation areas in the village of Bosteri, located on the shore of the lake, a citizen of Asian appearance was illegally storing and using narcotic substances.
After registering the statement in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations of the Issyk-Kul District Police Department, a preliminary investigation was initiated.
As a result of operational-search activities, a local resident, K.K., born in 2000, was detained. During the search, a substance with a characteristic smell of wild-growing hemp was found and seized from him.
The seized substance was sent for forensic chemical examination, which confirmed that it was a narcotic cannabis concentrate (marijuana) with a net weight of 270 grams.
Signs of a crime under part 1 of Article 283 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic were identified in this case, and a criminal case was initiated.
During the investigation, officers from the criminal investigation department of the Issyk-Kul district police conducted searches in the homes of several citizens in the villages of Baktyu-Dolonot, Korumdu, and Bosteri.
During a search in the home of citizen M.K., born in 1978, a brown substance with a characteristic smell of wild-growing hemp was discovered.
Additionally, in the house and barn of citizen O.B., born in 1959, a green substance with a characteristic smell of cannabis and three red-colored cartridges were found, which were seized as evidence.
Furthermore, citizen O.B. voluntarily surrendered three firearms of unknown make, 29 casings, and one bottle with bullets.
Separate materials were allocated regarding the above-mentioned facts concerning citizens M.K. and O.B., which are registered in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations of the Issyk-Kul district police, and a preliminary investigation is currently underway. A forensic chemical examination has been appointed for the seized substances,” the official release states.
