A man on a kayak was detained at Issyk-Kul

In the village of Issyk-Kul (Mayak) in the Tyup district, a local resident N.V., born in 1996, was caught engaging in illegal fishing on a single-person kayak.

The detention took place on December 16 as part of a raid organized by the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region together with the Internal Affairs Office of the Tyup district aimed at combating poaching.
As a result of the inspection, three specimens of pikeperch and fifty specimens of omul were seized from N.V., which became material evidence. Additionally, during an emergency search of his home, a synthetic fishing net was found, which was also confiscated as evidence.

This incident was registered in the Unified Register of the Internal Affairs Office of the Tyup district. Based on Article 310 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, a criminal case has been initiated against the detainee, and he has been placed in custody.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
