The incident took place on December 15 at around 18:40 near a store in the village of Arka-2, located in the rural municipality of Jany-Jer.
According to sources, a resident of the village of Ak-Suu named A.Z. was returning home in a "Mercedes-Benz Sprinter" after delivering goods when he was noticed by an unknown individual. The attacker, threatening him with a knife and introducing himself as a representative of the local authorities, demanded money.
The suspect, taking advantage of the threats, seized 45,040 soms, a tablet, a passport, a driver's license, and other documents related to the vehicle, after which he fled the scene.
This incident was recorded in the log of the Leilek District Department of Internal Affairs under Article 207 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan ("Robbery"), and a criminal case was initiated.
Police officers from the rural department "Jany-Jer" soon detained a 44-year-old resident of the village of Arka named Sh.T. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility, as reported by official sources.
