According to the information, the incident occurred on December 5 at around 21:00 on T. Sadykov Street in Batken. A 46-year-old resident of the Batken district named J.K. was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing when he was struck by a silver-colored "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle.
After the collision, the driver placed the injured person in the back seat of his car and, after making a U-turn, fled down I. Razzakov Street in an unknown direction.
The next morning, December 6, at around 09:30, the body of J.K. was found on the roadside.
This event was recorded by the surveillance cameras of the operational center of the Internal Affairs Department of the Batken region. As a result of police operational actions, the silver "Mercedes-Benz" and its driver, 26-year-old A. uulu N., who was at the auto parts market in Batken, were located. He was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility," the statement said.
