As reported by the press service of the UPSM of the GUVB Bishkek, the incident took place on November 14 at around 07:15. The driver, R. uulu K., born in 1997, was driving a Hyundai Sonata northward on Mahatma Gandhi Street. At the intersection with Saadaev Street, he hit the pedestrian K.N.A., born in 2005, who was crossing the road at an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing in a westward direction.
Unfortunately, the injuries sustained by the girl were incompatible with life, and she died at the scene of the incident.
This case has been recorded in the AIS ZHUI of the GUVB of Bishkek, and a preliminary investigation is currently underway. Based on its results, the investigative service of the GUVB of Bishkek has initiated a criminal case under Article 312, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The driver, R. u. K., was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GUVB of Bishkek.
The car was also placed in a towing lot, and necessary legal examinations have been appointed. Decisions will be made based on the results of these examinations in accordance with the norms of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention in pre-trial detention center No. 1 for a period of two months,” the official statement reports.
