The incident took place on the 68th kilometer of the Bishkek—Osh highway, not far from the "Sosnovka Junda" factory. The driver of a Honda Stream, 23-year-old S.R.K., was heading north when he collided with a Subaru Outback, driven by 30-year-old K.u.B. The impact was so severe that the Subaru veered into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Hyundai Sonata, driven by 31-year-old T.u.E., who was traveling south.
As a result of the accident, five people were taken to the hospital, including:
- the driver of the Subaru, T.u.E., 31 years old, diagnosed with a closed traumatic brain injury and concussion;
- 56-year-old T.S., also with a closed traumatic brain injury and concussion;
- 15-year-old S.A., with similar injuries;
- 44-year-old S.Ch.A., with a closed traumatic brain injury and concussion;
- 41-year-old E.U., who sustained a chest contusion.
