According to the agency, the incident occurred on November 20 at 19:48 on A. Orozbekov Street in Kadamjai. On the Kadamjai—Chechme highway, 48-year-old Sh. K., while in a state of intoxication, was lying on the road. At that time, a "Daewoo Nexia" car passed by, which hit the man and drove away without providing him with the necessary assistance.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning leaving a person in danger, and a pre-trial investigation was launched.
On November 22, as a result of operational-search activities conducted by the employees of the Kadamjai District Department of Internal Affairs, a 51-year-old resident of the village of Tayan in the Batken region, A. R., was identified and detained as a suspect in this crime.
He is currently held in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are ongoing.
