A man suspected of murdering a 50-year-old local resident has been detained in Kyzyl-Kiya, Batken region. This information was provided by the regional police department.
According to law enforcement data, the tragic incident occurred on November 18 around 19:45 in one of the rooms of a dormitory. At that time, there were two men in the room: G.S., who was temporarily living in the dormitory, and M.A., a local resident. Both were consuming alcohol, which led to their quarrel.
During the conflict, G.S. used a kitchen knife and stabbed M.A. in the chest, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Murder," and forensic examinations have been appointed to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The suspect G.S. was detained before he could hide the evidence, and he is currently placed in a temporary detention facility. Further investigative actions are underway.
