A man has been detained in the Chuy region on suspicion of fraud amounting to 2.5 million soms. This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the region.
It became known that a resident of Kara-Balta, born in 1984, named A.S., reported a case of fraud to the police on October 31, 2025.
The victim stated that on February 27, an unknown person came to him, introducing himself as "A." This individual convinced him to trust him, evaluated 32 bulls at 78 thousand soms each, and took the cattle on credit for a total of 2 million 496 thousand soms, promising to return them in a week. However, instead, he sold the animals to third parties, spent the proceeds, and disappeared.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational search activities, police officers identified the suspect, who turned out to be J.A., born in 1998. He was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
