On February 12, 2025, T. K. filed a complaint with the local Department of Internal Affairs regarding fraud by a man named A. In February 2025, he posed as a broker for car delivery, received 8.5 million soms, but did not fulfill his obligations and disappeared.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect, identified as A. E., born in 1982, has been detained. He is currently in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs.
An investigation is also underway regarding the possible involvement of the detainee in other similar crimes.
