As a result of joint actions by the police of the Ton district and the staff of the tourist-ecological police, an 18-year-old resident of the village of Kyzyl-Tuu was detained, accused of illegal fishing.
According to available information, this young man used a specialized pitchfork for fishing, which violates environmental protection regulations.
The information about the incident was recorded in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Internal Affairs of the Ton district, and a criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal catch of aquatic biological resources.
According to Articles 96–97 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the suspect was placed in a temporary detention facility in the Ton district.
An investigation is currently underway, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident and assessing the damage caused to the environment.
