In Talas, 41 yaks were stolen: Three detained

In the Talas region, a case of the theft of 41 yaks has emerged, with three suspects detained, according to information from the press service of the regional police department.

According to law enforcement agencies, on October 14, 2025, a young man born in 2002 reported to the Talas district internal affairs department about the disappearance of 41 yaks from the Kara-Kol pasture.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated based on Article 205-1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertains to livestock theft.

During operational search activities, the officers of the Talas district police department were able to identify the suspects and detain them. One of them is R.K., a fellow villager of the complainant, born in 1983, along with his accomplices — N.T., born in 1982, a resident of the city of Talas, and M.Yu., born in 1980, residing in the Nookat district of the Osh region.

All detainees have been placed in a temporary detention facility for further investigation.

Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
