Employees of the Batken Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported the detention of several individuals who attempted to illegally export livestock, the press service reports.

The incident occurred on October 24 at the "Uragan" checkpoint in the Kadamjai district, where the police stopped a truck of the "Mercedes-Benz Atego" brand. During the inspection of the vehicle, 44 heads of cattle were found, which lacked the necessary documents and ear tags.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the cattle belonged to two residents of the Uzgen district of the Osh region — B. uulu M. and B.K. They had previously agreed to attempt to export the livestock without complying with customs procedures beyond the borders of Kyrgyzstan.

The driver of the vehicle, A.Sh., stated that he received incorrect instructions regarding the need to deliver the animals to Kadamjai.

The value of the 44 heads of cattle was estimated at 3,590,000 soms.

In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been initiated, and the suspects B. uulu M. and B.K. have been detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Kadamjai District Department of Internal Affairs.

The investigation is ongoing.
