A young woman suspected of murdering her newborn child has been detained in the Chui region, reports the regional police department.
According to police information, on November 12 at around 12:30, a signal was received at the Sokuluk district police department that a newborn body was found without signs of life at a landfill in the village of Komsomolskoye.
This incident was registered in the established manner, and an investigative operational group was immediately sent to the scene.
During the inspection, it was established that the body of a newborn girl was discovered by a local resident, G.I., born in 1975, in a trash bin on Dorochnaya Street. The body was in a white bag wrapped in a black women's t-shirt, and the child's umbilical cord had not been tied.
The body was sent for forensic examination to determine the exact cause of death.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the signs of a crime under Article 125 (Murder by a mother of her newborn child) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the course of operational search activities, the suspect was identified and detained — citizen A.F., born in 2002, temporarily residing in the mentioned village. She has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
