A suspect in the robbery of a pensioner was detained in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by representatives of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.
On November 17, a woman named A.B. contacted the police for help. She reported that on the same day, around 5:00 PM, an unknown person attacked her relative, 79-year-old citizen D.H., on Moscow Street, pushing him, causing him to fall. The perpetrator took advantage of the moment and stole the elderly man's cane and walker, which he needed due to his age and health condition.
After the incident, the criminal fled the scene. According to the medical report, D.H. was diagnosed with a fracture of the neck of the right femur with displacement.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 206 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. A forensic medical examination has been appointed.
Police officers quickly identified and detained the suspect, 43-year-old J.A. At the time of his arrest, he was in a state of intoxication and resisted law enforcement officers.
During a personal search, a sharp object (a shank) was found on him. The suspect was taken to the Investigative Service and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation is ongoing.
