On August 5, a local resident, M. A., approached the police department. She reported that on January 15, 2025, she met a man over the phone who introduced himself as Zhenish. He assured her that he had connections and could help her obtain an apartment from the State Mortgage Company in Karakol without waiting in line. As a result, at his request, the woman transferred him 6,000 soms, after which Zhenish stopped communicating.
After receiving the statement from M. A., the police began an investigation. During the investigation, the suspect was identified as a 26-year-old resident of the village of Tyup, O. M.

This individual had previously encountered legal issues for similar crimes. He was arrested in Bishkek, and during further investigation, it was revealed that he had deceived nine more residents of Karakol. In this regard, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Fraud," and the case materials have been sent to court for consideration.
