As a result of operational measures, the police were able to identify the suspect. He turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of the village of Tyup, previously convicted for similar crimes, named O.M. He was detained in Bishkek.
The investigation established that this fraudster used the same scheme to deceive nine other residents of Karakol. All cases have been recorded in the Unified Register of Crimes, and a criminal case has been initiated under the article "Fraud." The materials of the case have been forwarded to the court for further consideration.
The police strongly urge citizens to be vigilant and not to transfer money to unfamiliar individuals who promise to help with housing or other issues.
