According to available data, citizen A.G. reported to the GKNB that lawyer S.N.S., who represented her interests in a criminal case under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, demanded 350,000 soms for "assistance" in easing the sentence.
The investigation established that the lawyer promised the woman that, thanks to his connections in the judicial system, he could influence the sentencing. He referred to the fact that the accused had a minor child and claimed that he could secure probation or a deferral of the sentence.
After the victim's appeal, GKNB officers initiated a criminal case and conducted operational activities. On November 3, the lawyer was detained at the crime scene in the building of the Osh City Court immediately after receiving the agreed amount of money. He voluntarily returned the funds he received as a bribe.
At the moment, the detainee has been placed in the GKNB detention center, and the investigation is ongoing.
