According to reports, a citizen, A.G., approached the SCNS, who was accused under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. She stated that her lawyer, S.N.S., gained her trust and claimed that he could influence the judges of the Osh City Court to obtain a lighter sentence, including probation or a deferral of the sentence due to the presence of a minor child. For his services, the lawyer requested 350,000 soms.
After the information was verified, on November 3, SCNS officers conducted operational activities. The lawyer was detained in the building of the Osh City Court at the moment of receiving the money. During the search, he voluntarily handed over the amount that was recognized as a bribe for a favorable decision in the case.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee, and he has been placed in the detention center of the SCNS of the KR. Investigative actions are ongoing.
