A.G. filed a complaint with the GKNB, requesting intervention in the actions of lawyer S.N.S. He was providing her with legal assistance, as she had been accused of several crimes related to fraud under the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the victim, the lawyer, having gained her trust and assuring her of his connections in the judicial authorities, promised to help obtain a favorable decision in the Osh City Court. He stated that he could secure a sentence of probation or a deferred sentence, considering she had a minor child. For these services, the lawyer demanded 350,000 soms.
As a result, the GKNB initiated a criminal case, and on November 3, the lawyer was caught red-handed while receiving money in the building of the Osh City Court.
"During a personal search, the lawyer voluntarily handed over the cash that was received as a bribe to resolve the issue regarding the criminal case," the official release states. "He is currently being held in the GKNB KR detention center, and investigative actions are underway."
