According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Issyk-Kul region, on November 21, 2025, police officers, including the patrol service and tourist-ecological police, caught a citizen who was fishing without permission on the western side of the village of Toguz-Bulak.
The detained individual was a local resident, M.N., born in 1981, who had previously faced legal issues for a similar violation.
During the inspection, he was found to have 49 specimens of "ludoga sig," one pikeperch, and an inflatable plastic boat.
This incident was registered with the police, and a criminal case was opened against the detainee under Article 310 of the Criminal Code, concerning illegal hunting or fishing of aquatic animals.
By decision of the investigative authorities, the detainee was placed in a temporary detention facility, as provided for by Articles 96 and 97 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Investigative activities are currently ongoing.
