In the Issyk-Kul region, in the village of Grigorievka, the police detained four suspects in poaching, as reported by the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Department.

The incident occurred on November 20 at 2:30 AM during operational-search activities organized by the officers of the Issyk-Kul district police department in conjunction with the patrol service.
The detainees were residents of the village of Bosteri: D.R. (born in 1982), A.N. (born in 1983), Sh.E. (born in 1988), and T.A. (born in 1987). As established by law enforcement, they were fishing in a river that flows into the lake, using a homemade device to supply electric current to the water, which operated from a car battery. One of the detainees works in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic's security service.

During the detention, the poachers were found to have:

- 7 specimens of trout;

- a car battery;

- a flashlight;

- an electric net;

- a homemade device for electrofishing.

Law enforcement conducted searches in the homes of the detainees. In A.N.'s residence, 20 trout and 14 cartridges were found, while in D.R.'s house, a horn of a wild animal was discovered. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 310 ("Illegal hunting or fishing of fish or aquatic animals") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility, and the investigation is ongoing.
